Essa versão do pão de mel é tradicional da Europa. Nela, os sabores das especiarias e do chocolate vão impressionar!
Massa: aqueça em fogo baixo o açúcar mascavo, o mel e as especiarias. Junte a manteiga, mexendo até derreter bem e formar uma calda. Deixe esfriar e reserve. À parte, misture a farinha, o chocolate em pó e o fermento. Faça uma cova no centro e coloque nela a calda já fria e os ovos. Com as pontas dos dedos, vá incorporando aos poucos todos os ingredientes, formando uma massa pesada e uniforme. Disponha esta massa sobre uma superfície enfarinhada e sove até que esteja homogênea e lisa. Modele em formato de pão e passe para uma assadeira untada e enfarinhada. Asse em forno preaquecido (180 °C) por cerca de 40 minutos ou até que, ao bater na parte de baixo, ouça um som oco. Retire e deixe esfriar sobre uma grade.
Cobertura: espalhe a cobertura derretida sobre o pão frio e decore com as especiarias e as frutas secas. Para servir, corte fatias finas.
